Our group of doctors is made up of experienced and highly-trained physicians that subscribe to the Healthonomics mission statement of serving humanity through combating disease. We aim to provide education, support, guidance, and quality healthcare for those in need. Our clinics are made up of knowledgeable internists, women’s health specialists, family medicine doctors, and nurse practitioners.
Dr. Maria Lentzou, MD — Internal Medicine
Dr. Maria Lentzou serves the community of Orland Park, Illinois through Healthonomic Primary Care. With expertise in internal health, she provides diagnostics and treatment for adults in the area.
Dr. Lentzou received her board certification in internal medicine in 2000 and has been practicing ever since. She graduated top of her class at the University of Athens and was top 10% during her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School. Her faith is an important driving force for her work and dedication to medicine. She speaks English, Polish, Greek, and Spanish and volunteers at her church every Saturday.
As part of her many active roles, she is the founder and president of her own multi-location medical group, which is affiliated with Advocate Physicians Partners, Advocate Christ Hospital, and Palos Health. Dr. Lentzou is an active member of her community in the southwest suburbs of Chicago.

Dr. Rafael Vargas Zapata, MD — Family Medicine
Originally from Costa Rica, Dr. Rafael Vargas Zapata grew up in California and currently resides in River Forest, IL. In 1983, he graduated from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Mexico. He completed his residency training at St. Mary of Nazareth in Chicago and has been practicing family medicine for over 29 years. In his spare time, Dr. Vargas Zapata likes to spend the evenings reading and playing golf.
Dr. Carrie Salvia, DO — Family Medicine
Dr. Carrie Salvia is the newest physician to join Healthonomic Primary Care. She is a recent graduate of the Advocate Christ Family Medicine Residency Program, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Salvia is a board-certified family physician through the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She attended Penn State University for her undergraduate studies. She then relocated to Chicago for postgraduate education at Midwestern University in Downers Grove where she earned both a Masters in Biomedical Science, as well as her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Salvia is excited to grow her practice on the south side of Chicago. She treats patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience in diagnosing and treating complex and chronic disease processes and places a large emphasis on disease prevention in her day to day practice. She enjoys partnering with her patients to build long-standing relationships while helping them achieve their optimal health goals.
Dr. Salvia currently resides in downtown Chicago. In her free time, she enjoys staying active with running and Pilates. She also enjoys trying out new restaurants in the area as well as traveling to visit family and friends.
Marybell Ramirez, FNP-C — Family Medicine
Marybell Ramirez is a board-certified nurse practitioner, specializing in family practice. Completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Purdue University in Indiana. Earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Chamberlain University, College of Nursing in Illinois. Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner.
As a nurse, she has worked in the home health sector with a specialty in ophthalmology. The home health sector has allowed for a vast exposure to various health fields such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, ENT, orthopedics, urology, psychiatry, women's health, geriatrics, pre and post-surgical care, and wound care.
In collaboration with the providers of Healthonomic Primary Care, her mission as a nurse practitioner is to provide the highest level of quality healthcare in order to promote wellness, educate on disease and illness prevention, along with increasing access to healthcare for those in need.
Ryan Kim, NP — Family Medicine
Ryan Kim is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Governors State University, in University Park, Illinois. He then earned his Master of Science at Governors State University.
Ryan holds national board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner. As a nurse, he has worked in emergency medicine and medical-surgical departments. He works closely with the team at Healthonomic Primary Care to deliver a holistic approach to healthcare.
In his spare time, he enjoys volunteer work and giving back to various communities. He has taught Sunday school at his church for over ten years and has participated in two mission trips to Guatemala. He hopes to eventually be able to participate in medical missions and outreach to underserved communities.
